NEW YORK (CNS) -- While not exactly hellish, "Inferno" (Columbia), director Ron Howard's screen version of Dan Brown's 2013 novel, does produce some of the purgatorial tedium of sitting around in a dentist's waiting room or standing at a bus stop.
WASHINGTON (CNS) -- It's been 57 years since the last film version of "Ben-Hur" hit movie theaters. That alone is, for most Hollywood types, reason enough for a remake.
NEW YORK (CNS) -- Busy 3-D visuals fail to mask the flat tone and by-the-numbers storytelling of the animated sci-fi adventure "Ratchet & Clank" (Gramercy). In fact, even undemanding youngsters may feel the space-time continuum yawning before them as the seemingly interminable 94 minutes of this video-game adaptation tick away.
